HR Policies & Documentation

HR Policies, Procedures & Documentation

Most compliance failures are documentation failures. Without a policy manual, employment contracts that match local law, and a consistent set of procedures, every employee-relations question becomes a judgement call — and a dispute becomes your word against theirs. We draft the documents and keep them current.

Questions

HR Policies & Documentation — common questions

If your question is not answered here, ask us directly — we will give you a straight answer rather than a sales pitch.

Ask a question
Can we just buy a template policy manual?

You can, and many companies do. The problem is that a generic template rarely matches your actual leave rules, shift patterns, notice periods or reporting lines, so it gets ignored. We draft to your operating model.

Do the documents need employee sign-off?

Policies that form part of the employment terms should be issued and acknowledged in the agreed manner. We advise on the correct rollout process as part of the engagement.

How often should the manual be updated?

At minimum annually, and immediately whenever employment legislation, provincial rules or your own structure changes. The annual review service exists for this reason.
